My Father's House International Foundation (MFH) is a nonprofit organization, whose main goal is to build orphanages in Latin America. Our goal is to provide orphans with a better quality of life by giving them the opportunity to get an education, food and a place to live, regardless of their religion, race, ethnicity or gender. What is unique about MFH is that we integrate housing, school, and self sufficient organic farms in one facility in order to meet children's basic needs all at one site.
MFH was born out of a dream to reach out to the unprivileged children who grow up on the streets hoping for a peace of bread for the day. MFH's vision is to build orphanages equipped with schools and organic self-sufficient farms starting in Colombia, Mexico and other countries around Latin America where education, food and care are provided in order to meet children's basic needs. We at MFH are committed to work to the benefit of those homeless children in need who have been forgotten by society and are left out on the streets. We want to go beyond building orphanages. We want to build communities that promote moral and personal values and that will impact other generations to come. Our goal is to integrate them in a system that enables them to grow and develop to reach their highest potential.
Statement of Faith
- We believe that the death of Jesus Christ on the cross made atonement for the sins of those who repent and believe in him. We also believe that the Holy Spirit dwells in all who receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
- We believe in the virgin birth and the Deity of Jesus Christ, His death on the cross and His resurrection. We also believe He will visibly return to earth to establish His kingdom.
- We believe the Bible to be the Word of God verbally inspired and therefore is the supreme and final authority for faith and life.
- We believe that man was originally created in the image of God and fell into sin causing his separation from God and loosing eternal life.
- We believe in one God revealed to us as God–the Father, God-Son and the Holy Spirit.
- We also believe that baptism, in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, is our symbolic way of crucifying and denying our old self.
- We believe we can reach holiness as we strengthen our relationship with God through prayer and submitting ourselves to his Word.
- We believe that Christians are called to do good works and to be witness for Christ to all nations.
Our management team consists of the board of directors and officers of MFH who work closely with the president and founder of the organization. MFH works as a legal entity that meets the federal and state requirements of a nonprofit association and it is legally registered as a 501 (C) (3) organization. In Colombia, MFH is registered as a legal institution under the name: Fundación Internacional la Casa de mi Padre (My Father's House International Foundation) and it meets the requirements of Instituto Colombiano de Bienestar Familiar (Colombia's welfare system) to operate as a nonprofit orphanage foundation. Mr. Schambon is the President and Founder of My Father’s House International Foundation. Located in our San Antonio office, Mr. Schambon works closely with his wife, Dayana Schambon, who is also founder of MFH. They oversee both US and Colombian operations.
